As if not to be outdone by Panasonic’s product line boasts a water resistant camcorder, Sanyo offers too, the same features on the Sanyo Xacti VPC-WH1 this. Not only that, Sanyo was even able to beat the record depth of Panasonic as well as offers the ability to record in high definition quality in one package.
Sanyo Xacti VPC-WH1 is capable of working at depths of up to three meters of surface water and to achieve that quality, Sanyo covers all the ports and the open section with a rubber coating strong enough. Sanyo unfortunately not yet able to provide alias Rugged features hardiness in this camcorder, so to call it a camcorder for the travelers still can not seem to.
In fact, apart from water-resistant features, the Sanyo Xacti VPC-WH1 is not much different from most camcorders currently available. Using a CMOS sensor measuring only 1 / 6 inch to 1.1-megapixel capability alone. Fortunately optical zoom feature was quite a relief. At least with a 30x optical zoom, you can not be too close to the object to be able to record the details.
