The Mini Ipod Shuffle
One of the most amazing thing of the iPod shuffle is the size really mini. Somehow this product designers develop a variety of components including flash memory and lithium polymer battery into the chassis measuring 1.7 x 4.5 x 0.8 cm’s. Clearly this little thing has a storage capacity of 4GB and can play a song for 10 hours.
Of course, small size has consequences, too. At least Apple was forced to remove the display feature on this portable audio player. Even the buttons were made very minimal at the top of the iPod shuffle this. One button serves to turn off, play and shuffle and works by being moved. But just because Apple pulled it put the other buttons on the earphones.
In the middle of the cable that connects between the earphone and the player units have three buttons, each of which serves to increase the volume, down volume and a multi-function button. This multi-function button can function as a key play, pause, next track and previous track. It seemed that the function is sufficient to control the main functions of this gadget, but what about the function of the screen?
Apple decided to install the speech feature instead of the screen. When you press the button a certain way, it will be a voice that mention the title song is playing along with a musician who plays the song. In fact, you can also find out the name of the currently playing playlist. iPod shuffle is the first generation supports the playlist features.
There is one weakness of Apple’s design this time. Since the key was in the middle of the earphone wires then there is no possibility to replace these earphones with your favorite earphones. Rather than an innate quality of the iPod shuffle earphones is bad but to compare the output Shure earphones, Sennheiser earphones or KLIPSCH indeed be innate feel nothing.
Actually, the sound quality produced by Apple’s iPod shuffle is quite satisfactory but with the innate quality earphones that can not be heard to the fullest. But it’s still possible to front up like Shure earphones manufacturers and KLIPSCH will make earphones compatible with Apple iPod shuffle this. For a while it seems we still have to be satisfied with the earphones luggage.
