I bought this camera two weeks ago after extensive research. As a video editor, I think this gadget is right for me.

As a general idea, the Canon FS100 is easy to use. The basic features are simple enough for beginners and more advanced features that are not so difficult to understand when you know you’re looking for.

Canon FS100 is lightweight and compact, smaller than it was created from photos in the catalogs. You can easily fit in the laptop bag without stretching the skin leather, too.

With that said, here’s the pros and cons:

- Allows an external microphone that is ideal for professional-level productions. I think it’s really one of the few cameras with microphone input.
- I have not used much more memory digital video, SD cards are pretty cheap nowadays even bother with anything else. So I still have to test the difference in quality between the two storage media. However, the fact that it allows both DV and SD may be positive.
