Data loss due to personal error or hardware failure. Errors personal account for deleted files and partitions, the result of a hardware failure in bad sectors. Bad sector location affects the type of data loss if a bad sector is in the field of data storage, only the missing files, but if bad sectors on the system, making errors on the partition table, the whole partition usually lost.

Recovery tools must be careful, and never to be installed on the same drive that contains the files to be restored. Ideally, the file that deleted files can not be used to start out, because during the process, Windows writes to the disk. The best way is to use the drive on another system for the best chance of file recovery. Deleted data has a higher chance of recovery if the hard disk activity after the removal is minimal.
